I have just received the Progress report from STS 52 on the following students:
DE VET P.5 Expected to complete 16th Sep. 44.
FOKKER P.8 Expected to complete 23rd Sep. 44.
PETERS Q.4 Expected to complete 30th Sep. 44.
These students have only recently returned from Holland and are, therefore, aware of the grounds, and provided they can be considered as fully trained WT Operators, I have asked MT/2 to forego their W.X. course.
Owing to the existing situation in the field, and the extreme urgency, I would very much like to despatch the above operators the following moon-period starting om 26th September 1944. A little time would be required to prepare and brief them, and I shall be glad to know the earliest possible date they would be at our disposal.

As Promised, I saw this student on the 2nd inst., with regard to the Gibraltar question. The facts are as follows:-
When he was coming trough SPAIN en route for Gibraltar, he sent a telegram from MADRID to [redacted], London, introducing himself as PETER DAINTY, and referring to a mutual connection in HOLLAND. This connection turns out to be:

Velp (Gelderland)
Meteorworks.
It appears that, on arrival in Gibraltar, another telegram was sent to [redacted] referring to the first one and asked for a loan of £.25,-. The money was sent to DE VOS, c/o Capt. Richards. At no time did DE VOS reveal himself to [redacted] as DE VOS. He signed the second simply 'PETER'. [redacted] therefore, knows him as PETER DAINTY. Whilst in Gibraltar he spent a certain amount of money. It seemed that he was drawing this money from Capt. RICHARDS to whom he had apparently handed the original amount for the sake of convenience. As the banks were closed when he left, Capt. RICHARDS gave him a cheque for the balance due, viz £.18,-
The above is the story which is now on record for the first time. Out of it emerges two points, vis:
1) How can DE VOS best give [redacted] the news for which the latter aks about [redacted]
2) How can he best return the money he owes?
These two points will have to be settled by Security.
