Het is vreemd dat zoveel dagen achteréén geen berichten vanuit Londen werden ontvangen, maar dat er ook niets naar London werd verzonden, terwijl Pieter de Vos had beloofd Londen dagelijks op de hoogte te houden over de gang van zaken. In de periode vooraf aan de arrestatie van Tobias werden vrijwel dagelijks berichten ontvangen voor Henri Koot, de commandant van de Nederlandse Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten.
It is very odd that during several days no messages were received from London and no messages were sent to London. In spite of the fact that Pieter de Vos had promised to keep London informed on a daily basis. Before Tobias was arrested there were always messages for Henri Koot (NBS) almost daily.
Dinsdag 20 Februari 1945. Paul Polak laat Londen weten (44) dat de volgende acht berichten gecodeerd zijn met Pieter's persoonlijke code. Londen moet die nacht antwoorden op de gestelde vragen verzenden die gecodeerd zijn met de persoonlijke code van Paul. Dit waarschijnlijk als een soort extra beveiliging.
Blijkbaar klopt de datum van Paul Polak niet in het document wat hij na zijn pensionering heeft samengesteld. Hierin zijn vrijwel alle telegrammen van en naar Draughts in opgenomen en voorzien van een datum. Het lijkt er echter op dat de acht telegrammen die door Pieter niet op de 20e, maar reeds op 18 Februari zijn verzonden.
Cor van Paaschen laat Londen weten (227) dat Guus (Frank Hamilton) om zijn hulp en advies heeft gevraagd. Nadat Pieter dingen heeft nagetrokken en op een rijtje heeft gezet komt hij tot de volgende conclusie: het succes van Tobias was voor een groot deel te danken aan een medische onderzoeker (Henk Veeneklaas) met wie hij een paar dagen na zijn parachutage contact heeft opgenomen. Wordt vervolgd.
Dit is naar mijn idee niet helemaal juist, via Gerben Wagenaar en zijn koerierster Joke Davidson zijn Tobias en Pieter via Dr. Felix bij Dr. Henk Veeneklaas terecht gekomen. Veeneklaas was tot dat ogenblik nog niet bij het verzet betrokken, maar raakte er op deze manier in verzeild.
In het volgende telegram (228) gaat Cor verder in op de zaken die Veeneklaas voor Tobias heeft geregeld. Achter de schermen was deze dokter de adviseur en leidende kracht achter het team van Tobias. Hij organiseerde de wapentransporten van de droppingsvelden naar Amsterdam. Veeneklaas staat bij Pieter bekend als een ervaren organisator. Doordat de Duitsers bij de arrestatie van Tobias en de anderen belangrijke papieren hebben gevonden weten zij nu alles over de organisatie, de droppingsvelden en de wapentransporten in Noord-Holland. Wordt vervolgd.
Cor vervolgt, (229) dat het gezien eerder genoemde feiten in telegram 228 de mogelijkheden om een nieuwe organisatie op te bouwen gering zijn. Te meer omdat men veel hinder ondervindt door het tekort aan allerlei zaken en de recente golf van arrestaties. Intensieve contacten binnen de … samenleving zijn noodzakelijk om te kunnen slagen.
Hij gaat verder (230) dat met zekerheid problemen zijn te verwachten voor een nieuw aan te stellen organisator. … zegt dat de transporten alleen mogelijk waren op basis van informatie en faciliteiten welke door de medische vriend van Tobias geleverd werden. Deze laatste geniet het volle vertrouwen van beide marconisten en de staf van Tobias. Wordt vervolgd.
Cor besluit (231) met te stellen dat ervaringen laten zien dat deze man zeer bruikbaar is. Om het belangrijke werk voort te kunnen zetten adviseert Cor van Paaschen om deze man (Henk Veeneklaas) zo spoedig mogelijk aan te stellen als definitieve opvolger van Tobias. De meningen van beide marconisten en de staf van Tobias ondersteunen mijn advies.
In zijn laatste bericht die dag laat Cor van Paaschen Londen weten (232) dat Frans (Jan Steman) gearresteerd is, maar niet tijdens het zenden. Als hij niet binnen een paar dagen bevrijd kan worden wil Cor graag gebruik maken van één van de marconisten van Tobias. Cor verwacht spoedig een wapendropping op veld COD.
Londen laat Guus (Frank Hamilton) via Paul Polak (31) weten dat Pieter na de arrestatie van Tobias in een aantal telegrammen voorstellen heeft gedaan voor een reorganisatie. Londen wil van hem weten hoe Henri Koot (DC) daar over denkt en of hij deze ideeën steunt? Sally doet Guus de groeten.
Volgens mij is Cor van Paaschen, gezien de nummering van de telegrammen, degene geweest die deze adviezen voor een reorganisatie heeft verstuurd.

Cor van Paaschen informs London (227) Guus has asked him for help and advice. After deliberation and examination Cor came to the following conclusion: Tobias' succes was caused for a greater part by a medical researcher (Henk Veeneklaas) whom he had contacted a few days after been dropped by parachute. I don't think this is complete the case. Pieter and Tobias were brought to Dr. Felix in Amsterdam and in a later stage to the house of Dr. Henk Veeneklaas. Veeneklaas was until then not active in the Dutch resistance.

Cor informs London further (228) that behind the scenes this doctor was adviser and leader for Tobias and his staff. he also organised weapon transports from the dropping fields to Amsterdam. Cor knows this man as a skilled organiser. After the arrest of Tobias and the others important papers were found by the Germans who by now know the whole organisation of the dropping grounds and the weapon transports in North-Holland.

Cor goes on (230) by stating that a new organiser in these circumstances will encounter difficulties. FMXZL said that transports are only possible through the information and facilities given by the medical friend (Veeneklaas) of Tobias. The latter enjoys entire confidence of Tobias' WT operators and his staff.

Cor concludes (231) that experiences from the past proved his (Veenklaas) usefulness. In the interest of the import work carried out by London Cor likes to advise London to let Veeneklaas continue definitively the work done by Tobias. The opinions from Tobias' WT operators and his staff support Cor's advice.

Cor van Paaschen informs London (232) also that Frans (Jan Steman) has been arrested, but not during a transmission. He was cleaning a pistol of a resistance worker. If Frans can not be freed within a couple of days Cor would like to use one of the two operators in Amsterdam. Cor is also informing London he is expecting a weapon dropping on field COD soon.

Paul Polak receives a message (31) meant for Guus (Hamilton) in which is stated that Pieter has done several proposals about a reorganisation of mission Draughts after Tobias' arrest. London wants to know how Henri Koot (DC) thinks about this matter and does Delta Centre agree with Pieter? Sally sends greetings to Guus.
According to the numbers of the telegrams (227-232) is seems that Cor van Paaschen send them and not Pieter de Vos. London assumes however that Pieter sent them. he was only encoding and sending them to London.
Woensdag 21 februari 1945. Londen vraagt Pieter via Paul (??) of hij nog contact heeft met Henri Koot (DC) en of hij nog iets van Guus (Hamilton) heeft gehoord.

London asks Pieter if he is still in touch with Henri Koot and if has heard any news from Guus.
Donderdag 22 Februari 1945. Pieter laat Londen weten (52) al hoewel hij als marconist zich niet met operationele zaken mag bemoeien, maar in deze speciale zaak voelt hij zich toch geroepen om Londen van advies te voorzien. Hij doet dit alleen omdat het dagelijks gevaarlijker wordt en men alleen met de strengste veiligheidsmaatregelen in staat is om tot de bevrijding door te gaan. Geen enkel persoon behalve degenen die nauw met Tobias hebben samengewerkt begrijpen de huidige gecompliceerde situatie hier in de stad. Wordt vervolgd.
Pieter gaat verder (53) met te stellen dat de enige oplossing naar zijn mening is het aanstellen van zijn meest naaste medewerker, zijnde een wel bekende dokter, als de opvolger van Tobias. Deze man kent alle feiten en heeft een uitstekend gevoel voor veiligheid en hoort bij geen enkele verzetsorganisatie. Pieter vind de manier van werken van Guus (Hamilton) en zijn gevoel voor veiligheid in de huidige situatie erg gevaarlijk. Een geheel nieuwe organisator aanstellen zal heel veel problemen opleveren. Pieter biedt Londen zijn verontschuldigingen aan omdat hij zich niet met zijn eigen zaak bemoeit, maar in het belang van het werk vraagt hij Londen de aanstelling van deze dokter serieus in overweging te nemen.
Pieter laat Londen weten (54) dat Guus (Hamilton) in Amsterdam is gearriveerd. Hij kan nog steeds contact opnemen met Henri Koot de DC. Hij herhaalt dat het schema en de codes van het nacht verkeer gebruikt volgens bericht 104. De situatie van Tobias is hoopvol in het Militair Hospitaal in Scheveningen. Men heeft contact met hem opgenomen.
Bericht 104 is waarschijnlijk een bericht geweest dat voor Frans (Jan Steman) was bedoelt, maar deze zit ook in de gevangenis, maar dan in Rotterdam. Hoe kon Pieter dit persoonlijk bericht aan Jan Steman decoderen?
Londen herhaalt bericht 104 voor Cor van Passchen nogmaals (29) "Op veld COD zal vanaf of op 20 Februari een lading gedropt worden. Deze bestaat uit 15 containers en 3 pakketen. In de container die voorzien is van een rood kruis bevinden zich medicijnen die voor Pieter (Cor van Paaschen) en Frans (Jan Steman) bestemd zijn. In het derde pakket vindt zich radio apparatuur, zendschema's, kristallen en codes voor zijn twee nieuwe marconisten".
Wie zijn deze twee marconisten?
Londen herhaalt ook bericht 105 voor Cor van Paaschen (30) " Laat alstublieft weten of de Gist en Spiritus fabriek niets voor de Duitse Wehrmacht produceert, maar alleen werkzaam is om voedsel te produceren.
Londen herhaalt verder bericht 106 voor Cor van Paaschen (31) Hij moet zonder daarbij zichzelf in gevaar te brengen details vinden over Van der Waals, alias De Wilde, een Sicherheitsdienst informant. Londen wil weten waar hij zich nu bevindt of waar hij zich beweegt. Jos Gemmeke die door de linies naar bevrijd Nederland is uitgeweken bevindt zich nu in Engeland om als agent getraind te worden en zij vraagt Cor of zij bij terugkomst nog steeds haar eigen persoonsbewijs kan gebruiken. Zij hoopt Cor gauw weet te zien stuurt hem haar liefde en tekent met haar nieuwe SOE alias SPHINX.
Londen stuurt Pieter het antwoord op zijn berichten 227 tot en met 231 via Paul Polak (32). London gaat akkoord dat Henk Veeneklaas de leiding van operatie Draughts van Tobias overneemt, mits Henri Koot geen bezwaar heeft.
Londen vraagt Henri Koot via Paul Polak (33) waarom zij via één van beide marconisten van Tobias geen rapporten meer hebben ontvangen. Is er iets aan de hand? London wenst een rapport over de laatste ontwikkelingen te ontvangen en suggesties over de opvolging van Tobias.

Pieter de Vos informs London (52) that although he is well aware that WT operators should not interfere with the operation itself he feels being right in advising London in this particular case. Pieter continues (53) that in his opinion the only solution which is possible in the present situation that the closest co-operator of Tobias, a well known doctor should take over the work from Tobias. This man (Veeneklaas) has extensive knowledge of all the fact and has a perfect sense of security. He does not belong to any resistance group at all. Pieter considers the working methode and his feeling for security is a highly dangerous under the present situation. Appointing a new organiser would only result in new and more problems. Pieter is sorry for not minding his own business, but in the interest of the work that still has to be done he asks to take the appointment of this doctor into serious consideration.

Pieter de Vos informs London (54) Guus has arrived in Amsterdam and he can still contact Henri Koot (DC). He asks to repeat Pieter's night radio plan and code from message number 104. Tobias' condition is hopeful and he lays in the Kriegs Lazareth (Military Hospital) in Scheveningen. They have contacted Tobias there.
These last two sentences are not right. Tobias was refused at the Military Hospital, because he was considered a terrorist and was taken to the Police prison in Scheveningen. There was no way the resistance or SOE was able to contact him there.

Who are those two new operators? If Cor van Paaschen had two new operators why is he then using the WT operators from Tobias in Amsterdam?

Zaterdag 24 Februari 1945. Pieter informeert Londen (55) dat Guus (Frank Hamilton) zijn eigen code voor zijn berichten zal gebruiken en ook zijn eigen prefix voor het ontvangen berichten tijdens de nachtelijke broadcasts. Hij weet echter niet zeker of hij de juiste prefix gebruikt.
Frank Hamilton stuurt zijn eerste bericht naar Londen (1), hierin geeft hij aan dat men nog steeds wil proberen om Tobias te bevrijden, maar dat de situatie hopeloos is.. Nadat Tobias gearresteerd is heeft hij meteen de leiding overgenomen en wacht op orders vanuit Londen. Volgens hem is de situatie in Amsterdam verwarrend en er ontstonden meteen problemen tot een persoon genaamd Arend (Henk Veeneklaas) de positie van Tobias wilde overnemen. Hij heeft deze situaties eerder meegemaakt bij het verzet en Londen moet in ieder geval iemand aanstellen die uit Engeland (SOE/BBO) komt, want alleen die personen worden in Nederland als neutraal beschouwd. Iemand anders aanstellen zal tot grote problemen leiden. Hamilton bedankt Londen voor zijn tijdelijke aanstelling als opvolger van Tobias en hij laat weten de touwtjes stevig in handen te hebben.
In dit bericht (45) laat Paul Polak weten dat hij bericht 3 doorgestuurd heeft naar Henri Koot (DC). He zal aanstaande maandag persoonlijk advies uitbrengen wanneer hij weer in de stad is.
Paul stuurt een bericht van Cor van Paaschen (aka Pieter Dekker) door naar Londen (45) Cor geeft aan dat Tobias heeft aangegeven dat 'De Dokter' zijn werk moet overnemen. Hij bevestigd dat de Gist & Spiritus fabriek niets voor de Wehrmacht produceert.
Pieter de Vos ontvangt een bericht via Londen van Prins Bernhard aan Henri Koot (33). De prins refereert naar zijn radio uitzending van 4 September waarin hij aangaf dat het verzet armbanden moet gaan maken. Deze armbanden mogen alleen gedragen worden voor dat het hele land bevrijd is en men covert operaties tegen de vijand uitvoerd terwijl de geallieerden in nabijheid zijn. Deze armbanden moeten voorkomen dat vezets mensen worden neergeschoten als zijnde Franctireurs. Deze armbanden mogen niet gedragen worden bij illegale of semi-illegale operaties en helemaal niet wanneer men door de geallieerden onder de voet gelopen is, dan zullen nieuwe armbanden worden uitgereikt.
Londen vraagt Henri Koot (34) of hij nog nieuws heeft over Russen en de Turkestans die in opstand willen komen tegen de Duitsers. Bevinden zij zich nog steeds in Schoorl? London wenst spoedig een antwoord te ontvangen van hem.
Londen stuurt via Paul Polak een bericht van Prins Bernard naar Henri Koot (35). De Prins keurt de eed goed die alle leden van de Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten moet afleggen: 'Ik zweer trouw aan de Koningin, gehoorzaamheid aan de wetten en onderwerping aan de door de CNBS gestelde krijgstucht'.
Henri Koot wordt gevraagd (36) of hij Londen kan inlichten of de productie van 1-mans torpedo's in de Jongerius fabriek in Utrecht nog steeds plaats vindt.
Paul Polak ontvangt een bericht voor Cor van Paaschen (37). Hij moet direct na de eerste dropping op veld COD aangeven of het veilig is om het veld weer voor een tweede dropping te gebruiken. Zo niet, dan moet Cor een nieuw veld opgeven. London wil ook een man dropped die naar Den Haag moet, gaat Cor moet aangeven of hij hiermee akkoord gaat.

Guus sends his first message to London (1). He informs them that they are still trying to liberate Tobias but the situation is hopeless. After Tobias was arrested he (Guus) took over his job and he is now waiting for orders from London which he did receive in the meantime. Guus found the situation in Amsterdam confusing and difficulties arose as some people, special one called Arend (Veenklaas) were eager to take over Tobias's position. Guus has seen these difficulties more often in resistance groups and he advises London to appoint someone from England (SOE/BBO) as they are the only ones who are neutral according to several different resistance groups. If London would appoint someone else, this would certainly cause great trouble. Guus thanks London for his temporarily appointment and he is totally in control

London sends a message to Henri Koot through Pieter de Vos (33) from Prince Bernhard. The Prince refers to his broadcast of September 4th in which he asks the members of the resistance to prepare armbands for themselves. When the time for action is there these armbands should be worn by the resistance only before the complete liberation when they are engaged in covert combat operations with the Germans or when they are in close contact with Allied troops in order to protect them against treatment as Franctireurs (execution). The armbands should not be worn when they are engaged in clandestine or semi-clandestine operations and definitely not after they been overrun by Allied forces. Then new armbands will be issued by the HQ of the Prince.

Het is vreemd dat zoveel dagen achteréén geen berichten vanuit Londen werden ontvangen, maar dat er ook niets naar London werd verzonden, terwijl Pieter de Vos had beloofd Londen dagelijks op de hoogte te houden over de gang van zaken. In de periode vooraf aan de arrestatie van Tobias werden vrijwel dagelijks berichten ontvangen voor Henri Koot, de commandant van de Nederlandse Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten.
It is very odd that during several days no messages were received from London and no messages were sent to London. In spite of the fact that Pieter de Vos had promised to keep London informed on a daily basis. Before Tobias was arrested there were always messages for Henri Koot (NBS) almost daily.
Dinsdag 20 Februari 1945. Paul Polak laat Londen weten (44) dat de volgende acht berichten gecodeerd zijn met Pieter's persoonlijke code. Londen moet die nacht antwoorden op de gestelde vragen verzenden die gecodeerd zijn met de persoonlijke code van Paul. Dit waarschijnlijk als een soort extra beveiliging.
Blijkbaar klopt de datum van Paul Polak niet in het document wat hij na zijn pensionering heeft samengesteld. Hierin zijn vrijwel alle telegrammen van en naar Draughts in opgenomen en voorzien van een datum. Het lijkt er echter op dat de acht telegrammen die door Pieter niet op de 20e, maar reeds op 18 Februari zijn verzonden.
Cor van Paaschen laat Londen weten (227) dat Guus (Frank Hamilton) om zijn hulp en advies heeft gevraagd. Nadat Pieter dingen heeft nagetrokken en op een rijtje heeft gezet komt hij tot de volgende conclusie: het succes van Tobias was voor een groot deel te danken aan een medische onderzoeker (Henk Veeneklaas) met wie hij een paar dagen na zijn parachutage contact heeft opgenomen. Wordt vervolgd.
Dit is naar mijn idee niet helemaal juist, via Gerben Wagenaar en zijn koerierster Joke Davidson zijn Tobias en Pieter via Dr. Felix bij Dr. Henk Veeneklaas terecht gekomen. Veeneklaas was tot dat ogenblik nog niet bij het verzet betrokken, maar raakte er op deze manier in verzeild.
In het volgende telegram (228) gaat Cor verder in op de zaken die Veeneklaas voor Tobias heeft geregeld. Achter de schermen was deze dokter de adviseur en leidende kracht achter het team van Tobias. Hij organiseerde de wapentransporten van de droppingsvelden naar Amsterdam. Veeneklaas staat bij Pieter bekend als een ervaren organisator. Doordat de Duitsers bij de arrestatie van Tobias en de anderen belangrijke papieren hebben gevonden weten zij nu alles over de organisatie, de droppingsvelden en de wapentransporten in Noord-Holland. Wordt vervolgd.
Cor vervolgt, (229) dat het gezien eerder genoemde feiten in telegram 228 de mogelijkheden om een nieuwe organisatie op te bouwen gering zijn. Te meer omdat men veel hinder ondervindt door het tekort aan allerlei zaken en de recente golf van arrestaties. Intensieve contacten binnen de … samenleving zijn noodzakelijk om te kunnen slagen.
Hij gaat verder (230) dat met zekerheid problemen zijn te verwachten voor een nieuw aan te stellen organisator. … zegt dat de transporten alleen mogelijk waren op basis van informatie en faciliteiten welke door de medische vriend van Tobias geleverd werden. Deze laatste geniet het volle vertrouwen van beide marconisten en de staf van Tobias. Wordt vervolgd.
Cor besluit (231) met te stellen dat ervaringen laten zien dat deze man zeer bruikbaar is. Om het belangrijke werk voort te kunnen zetten adviseert Cor van Paaschen om deze man (Henk Veeneklaas) zo spoedig mogelijk aan te stellen als definitieve opvolger van Tobias. De meningen van beide marconisten en de staf van Tobias ondersteunen mijn advies.
In zijn laatste bericht die dag laat Cor van Paaschen Londen weten (232) dat Frans (Jan Steman) gearresteerd is, maar niet tijdens het zenden. Als hij niet binnen een paar dagen bevrijd kan worden wil Cor graag gebruik maken van één van de marconisten van Tobias. Cor verwacht spoedig een wapendropping op veld COD.
Londen laat Guus (Frank Hamilton) via Paul Polak (31) weten dat Pieter na de arrestatie van Tobias in een aantal telegrammen voorstellen heeft gedaan voor een reorganisatie. Londen wil van hem weten hoe Henri Koot (DC) daar over denkt en of hij deze ideeën steunt? Sally doet Guus de groeten.
Volgens mij is Cor van Paaschen, gezien de nummering van de telegrammen, degene geweest die deze adviezen voor een reorganisatie heeft verstuurd.

Cor van Paaschen informs London (227) Guus has asked him for help and advice. After deliberation and examination Cor came to the following conclusion: Tobias' succes was caused for a greater part by a medical researcher (Henk Veeneklaas) whom he had contacted a few days after been dropped by parachute. I don't think this is complete the case. Pieter and Tobias were brought to Dr. Felix in Amsterdam and in a later stage to the house of Dr. Henk Veeneklaas. Veeneklaas was until then not active in the Dutch resistance.

Cor informs London further (228) that behind the scenes this doctor was adviser and leader for Tobias and his staff. he also organised weapon transports from the dropping fields to Amsterdam. Cor knows this man as a skilled organiser. After the arrest of Tobias and the others important papers were found by the Germans who by now know the whole organisation of the dropping grounds and the weapon transports in North-Holland.

Cor concludes (231) that experiences from the past proved his (Veenklaas) usefulness. In the interest of the import work carried out by London Cor likes to advise London to let Veeneklaas continue definitively the work done by Tobias. According to the numbers of the telegrams (227-232) is seems that Cor van Paaschen send them and not Pieter de Vos. London assumes however that Pieter sent them. he was only encoding and sending them to London.
Woensdag 21 februari 1945. Londen vraagt Pieter via Paul (??) of hij nog contact heeft met Henri Koot (DC) en of hij nog iets van Guus (Hamilton) heeft gehoord.

Donderdag 22 Februari 1945. Pieter laat Londen weten (52) al hoewel hij als marconist zich niet met operationele zaken mag bemoeien, maar in deze speciale zaak voelt hij zich toch geroepen om Londen van advies te voorzien. Hij doet dit alleen omdat het dagelijks gevaarlijker wordt en men alleen met de strengste veiligheidsmaatregelen in staat is om tot de bevrijding door te gaan. Geen enkel persoon behalve degenen die nauw met Tobias hebben samengewerkt begrijpen de huidige gecompliceerde situatie hier in de stad. Wordt vervolgd.
Pieter gaat verder (53) met te stellen dat de enige oplossing naar zijn mening is het aanstellen van zijn meest naaste medewerker, zijnde een wel bekende dokter, als de opvolger van Tobias. Deze man kent alle feiten en heeft een uitstekend gevoel voor veiligheid en hoort bij geen enkele verzetsorganisatie. Pieter vind de manier van werken van Guus (Hamilton) en zijn gevoel voor veiligheid in de huidige situatie erg gevaarlijk. Een geheel nieuwe organisator aanstellen zal heel veel problemen opleveren. Pieter biedt Londen zijn verontschuldigingen aan omdat hij zich niet met zijn eigen zaak bemoeit, maar in het belang van het werk vraagt hij Londen de aanstelling van deze dokter serieus in overweging te nemen.
Pieter laat Londen weten (54) dat Guus (Hamilton) in Amsterdam is gearriveerd. Hij kan nog steeds contact opnemen met Henri Koot de DC. Hij herhaalt dat het schema en de codes van het nacht verkeer gebruikt volgens bericht 104. De situatie van Tobias is hoopvol in het Militair Hospitaal in Scheveningen. Men heeft contact met hem opgenomen.
Bericht 104 is waarschijnlijk een bericht geweest dat voor Frans (Jan Steman) was bedoelt, maar deze zit ook in de gevangenis, maar dan in Rotterdam. Hoe kon Pieter dit persoonlijk bericht aan Jan Steman decoderen?
Londen herhaalt bericht 104 voor Cor van Passchen nogmaals (29) "Op veld COD zal vanaf of op 20 Februari een lading gedropt worden. Deze bestaat uit 15 containers en 3 pakketen. In de container die voorzien is van een rood kruis bevinden zich medicijnen die voor Pieter (Cor van Paaschen) en Frans (Jan Steman) bestemd zijn. In het derde pakket vindt zich radio apparatuur, zendschema's, kristallen en codes voor zijn twee nieuwe marconisten".
Wie zijn deze twee marconisten?

Londen herhaalt verder bericht 106 voor Cor van Paaschen (31) Hij moet zonder daarbij zichzelf in gevaar te brengen details vinden over Van der Waals, alias De Wilde, een Sicherheitsdienst informant. Londen wil weten waar hij zich nu bevindt of waar hij zich beweegt. Jos Gemmeke die door de linies naar bevrijd Nederland is uitgeweken bevindt zich nu in Engeland om als agent getraind te worden en zij vraagt Cor of zij bij terugkomst nog steeds haar eigen persoonsbewijs kan gebruiken. Zij hoopt Cor gauw weet te zien stuurt hem haar liefde en tekent met haar nieuwe SOE alias SPHINX.
Londen stuurt Pieter het antwoord op zijn berichten 227 tot en met 231 via Paul Polak (32). London gaat akkoord dat Henk Veeneklaas de leiding van operatie Draughts van Tobias overneemt, mits Henri Koot geen bezwaar heeft.
Londen vraagt Henri Koot via Paul Polak (33) waarom zij via één van beide marconisten van Tobias geen rapporten meer hebben ontvangen. Is er iets aan de hand? London wenst een rapport over de laatste ontwikkelingen te ontvangen en suggesties over de opvolging van Tobias.

Pieter de Vos informs London (52) that although he is well aware that WT operators should not interfere with the operation itself he feels being right in advising London in this particular case. He does this only because every day the situation in Amsterdam is becoming more and more dangerous and only the highest security measures will allow them to carry on till the liberation. No other person than those who have closely worked together with Tobias here in Amsterdam will be able to grasp the present complicated situation.

Pieter continues (53) that in his opinion the only solution which is possible in the present situation that the closest co-operator of Tobias, a well known doctor should take over the work from Tobias. This man (Veeneklaas) has extensive knowledge of all the fact and has a perfect sense of security. He does not belong to any resistance group at all. Pieter considers the working methode and his feeling for security is a highly dangerous under the present situation. Appointing a new organiser would only result in new and more problems. Pieter is sorry for not minding his own business, but in the interest of the work that still has to be done he asks to take the appointment of this doctor into serious consideration.

Pieter de Vos informs London (54) Guus has arrived in Amsterdam and he can still contact Henri Koot (DC). He asks to repeat Pieter's night radio plan and code from message number 104. Tobias' condition is hopeful and he lays in the Kriegs Lazareth (Military Hospital) in Scheveningen. They have contacted Tobias there.
These last two sentences are not right. Tobias was refused at the Military Hospital, because he was considered a terrorist and was taken to the Police prison in Scheveningen. There was no way the resistance or SOE was able to contact him there.

Who are those two new operators? If Cor van Paaschen had two new operators why is he then using the WT operators from Tobias in Amsterdam?

Zij was berokken bij bankovervallen om geld binnen te halen om agenten van geld te kunnen voorzien. Zij had contact met Gijsbert en Walraven van Hall van het Nationaal Steun Fonds. Was de 'Papieren Centrale' het NSF, of de PB centrale? Wie is deze Wouter?

Zaterdag 24 Februari 1945. Pieter informeert Londen (55) dat Guus (Frank Hamilton) zijn eigen code voor zijn berichten zal gebruiken en ook zijn eigen prefix voor het ontvangen berichten tijdens de nachtelijke broadcasts. Hij weet echter niet zeker of hij de juiste prefix gebruikt.
Frank Hamilton stuurt zijn eerste bericht naar Londen (1), hierin geeft hij aan dat men nog steeds wil proberen om Tobias te bevrijden, maar dat de situatie hopeloos is.. Nadat Tobias gearresteerd is heeft hij meteen de leiding overgenomen en wacht op orders vanuit Londen. Volgens hem is de situatie in Amsterdam verwarrend en er ontstonden meteen problemen tot een persoon genaamd Arend (Henk Veeneklaas) de positie van Tobias wilde overnemen. Hij heeft deze situaties eerder meegemaakt bij het verzet en Londen moet in ieder geval iemand aanstellen die uit Engeland (SOE/BBO) komt, want alleen die personen worden in Nederland als neutraal beschouwd. Iemand anders aanstellen zal tot grote problemen leiden. Hamilton bedankt Londen voor zijn tijdelijke aanstelling als opvolger van Tobias en hij laat weten de touwtjes stevig in handen te hebben.
In dit bericht (45) laat Paul Polak weten dat hij bericht 3 doorgestuurd heeft naar Henri Koot (DC). He zal aanstaande maandag persoonlijk advies uitbrengen wanneer hij weer in de stad is.
Paul stuurt een bericht van Cor van Paaschen (aka Pieter Dekker) door naar Londen (45) Cor geeft aan dat Tobias heeft aangegeven dat 'De Dokter' zijn werk moet overnemen. Hij bevestigd dat de Gist & Spiritus fabriek niets voor de Wehrmacht produceert.
Pieter de Vos ontvangt een bericht via Londen van Prins Bernhard aan Henri Koot (33). De prins refereert naar zijn radio uitzending van 4 September waarin hij aangaf dat het verzet armbanden moet gaan maken. Deze armbanden mogen alleen gedragen worden voor dat het hele land bevrijd is en men covert operaties tegen de vijand uitvoerd terwijl de geallieerden in nabijheid zijn. Deze armbanden moeten voorkomen dat vezets mensen worden neergeschoten als zijnde Franctireurs. Deze armbanden mogen niet gedragen worden bij illegale of semi-illegale operaties en helemaal niet wanneer men door de geallieerden onder de voet gelopen is, dan zullen nieuwe armbanden worden uitgereikt.
Londen vraagt Henri Koot (34) of hij nog nieuws heeft over Russen en de Turkestans die in opstand willen komen tegen de Duitsers. Bevinden zij zich nog steeds in Schoorl? London wenst spoedig een antwoord te ontvangen van hem.
Londen stuurt via Paul Polak een bericht van Prins Bernard naar Henri Koot (35). De Prins keurt de eed goed die alle leden van de Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten moet afleggen: 'Ik zweer trouw aan de Koningin, gehoorzaamheid aan de wetten en onderwerping aan de door de CNBS gestelde krijgstucht'.
Henri Koot wordt gevraagd (36) of hij Londen kan inlichten of de productie van 1-mans torpedo's in de Jongerius fabriek in Utrecht nog steeds plaats vindt.
Paul Polak ontvangt een bericht voor Cor van Paaschen (37). Hij moet direct na de eerste dropping op veld COD aangeven of het veilig is om het veld weer voor een tweede dropping te gebruiken. Zo niet, dan moet Cor een nieuw veld opgeven. London wil ook een man dropped die naar Den Haag moet, gaat Cor moet aangeven of hij hiermee akkoord gaat.

Guus sends his first message to London (1). He informs them that they are still trying to liberate Tobias but the situation is hopeless. After Tobias was arrested he (Guus) took over his job and he is now waiting for orders from London which he did receive in the meantime. Guus found the situation in Amsterdam confusing and difficulties arose as some people, special one called Arend (Veenklaas) were eager to take over Tobias's position. Guus has seen these difficulties more often in resistance groups and he advises London to appoint someone from England (SOE/BBO) as they are the only ones who are neutral according to several different resistance groups. If London would appoint someone else, this would certainly cause great trouble. Guus thanks London for his temporarily appointment and he is totally in control

London sends a message to Henri Koot through Pieter de Vos (33) from Prince Bernhard. The Prince refers to his broadcast of September 4th in which he asks the members of the resistance to prepare armbands for themselves. When the time for action is there these armbands should be worn by the resistance only before the complete liberation when they are engaged in covert combat operations with the Germans or when they are in close contact with Allied troops in order to protect them against treatment as Franctireurs (execution). The armbands should not be worn when they are engaged in clandestine or semi-clandestine operations and definitely not after they been overrun by Allied forces. Then new armbands will be issued by the HQ of the Prince.
